Having identified the track as 1) having claw marks and 2) being 8cm long, we will now do the following:

bulletusing 8cm as the actual length of the track, we will go down the list  to find a set of possible track identifications
bulletcompare the actual shape of the track to the sample and identify the species

To do this:

bulletscroll down to track length of 8cm. The list is ascends by forefoot length
bulletand find the track that looks like the sample
Having identified the track as being that of the Spotted Hyena,  scroll down to the Spotted Hyena and click on the hyperlink to click get detailed information.
